Beautiful, late 18th Century, Chinoiserie, Dressing Table Mirror. Ebonised, lacquered wood with gilt Chinese pictorial decoration. Fabulously decorative with gorgeous small brass knobs. Original mirror plate. Wonderfully tatty in places with peeling lacquer near the back and the decoration is worn also. For me this gives this very old mirror superb character and a story to tell, a sitting reminder of the history and all its imperfections that have gone before us.
