19th Century, Handmade, Irish, Linen Quilt, Embroidered with Shamrocks

Beautiful, 19th century, handmade, embroidered, Irish linen quilt, covered in exquisite hand embroidered shamrocks… just delightful. Each embroidered ‘square’ is separated by a crochet border. Edged in a pale coffee coloured silk. To the reverse is a beautiful green silk. This quilt would have been lovingly made to bring luck and prosperity. Some wear to the reverse green silk. Stitching to the reverse also has come undone in places which can be easily sewn. (See all photos).
